Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join the team located in Durham. The job involves carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive works on building plant, equipment, and systems, undertaking small installation works, and responding to site engineering emergencies.
Key Tasks
* Ensure routine maintenance is carried out on all electrical and mechanical systems to meet and exceed expectations and service level agreements.
* Perform reactive repairs on all systems, calling relevant sub-contractors as needed.
* Carry out PPM maintenance as instructed, report defects via the client defect process, and liaise with supervisors regarding defect requirements.
* Update weekly equipment reports with any changes in equipment status.
* Liaise with sub-contractors for repairs and quotations, monitor their performance, and ensure work is completed satisfactorily.
* Sign off completed PPM and reactive tasks via PDA in line with policies and procedures.
* Maintain a professional image of CBRE and deliver excellent customer service.
* Establish and maintain good relationships with the client and their personnel.
* Ensure a safe and healthy working environment and compliance with all policies and procedures.
* Maintain accurate site logs and paperwork.
* Participate in call-out rota if applicable.
* Understand and maintain all systems on site.
* Collaborate with other trade engineers to resolve electrical issues within SLA.
Person Specification
Skills
* Good basic education, with proficiency in written and spoken English and basic math skills.
* Recognized electrical qualification, such as C&G 18th Edition in Electrical Installations.
* Knowledge of testing and inspection, and various building electrical systems.
* Current knowledge of BS standards related to electrical systems on site.
Experience
* Experience with structured PPM delivery.
* Experience working with business-critical equipment.
* Experience in a customer-focused role.
* Experience managing electrical systems and associated paperwork.
Aptitude
* Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
* Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
* Team player with good communication skills.
