The successful individual will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the design process for a variety of architectural projects. This role requires a strong blend of leadership, creativity, and technical expertise to ensure the successful execution of design concepts and client satisfaction.

Design Manager requirements:
7. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field
8. Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and leading design teams.
9. Strong proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite), excellent design and visualization skills, and the ability to translate client needs into creative and functional design solutions.
10. Experience managing and mentoring a team of designers and architects.
11. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
12. Ability to present ideas and engage with clients
13. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address design challenges and find innovative solutions.
14. Professional licensure (e.g., AIA, RIBA) is preferred but not required
Key duties of the Design Manager will include but will not be limited to:
15. Design Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of architects and designers in the development of design concepts, ensuring alignment with client objectives and project requirements.
16. Project Management: Oversee all phases of design, from conceptualization through to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
17. Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and effectively communicating design ideas, progress, and changes.
18. Team Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate design elements with technical requirements and project constraints.
19. Quality Assurance: Review and critique design work to ensure it meets the firm’s standards and regulatory requirements, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
20. Innovation and Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation in design and contribute to the firm’s thought leadership.
21. Resource Management: Manage project resources, including budgets, timelines, and staffing, to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
22. Documentation and Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of design processes, decisions, and changes, and provide regular project updates to stakeholders.
