This role has a broad scope, and the opportunity to make it your own & grow with the brand. They are now looking for an experienced Supply / Production Planner to join their talented Operations team.
The Role
You will report in to the Planning & Production Lead, working closely with manufacturing partners, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure uninterrupted supply and optimal stock levels across their rapidly expanding supply chain. You’ll work together with your team in Operations, as well as the Finance, Sales and Marketing teams, gaining broad exposure across the business whilst being a key player in its growth.
Relationships are an important part of this role, and building & maintaining strong bonds with manufacturing sites, suppliers, and hauliers will be crucial to ensuring the reliable supply of materials and finished goods. You will collaborate with the brand’s suppliers and manufacturing sites, planning productions, scheduling raw material purchases, and forecasting demand to align with target stock requirements.
In this role you will also be ensuring inventory is maintained to optimal levels, supporting with financial planning and stock valuation to ensure MRP systems & physical stock aligns and is accurately reflected in cashflow projections and purchasing forecasting.
The Candidate
We are looking for an outgoing and motivated Supply / Production Planner with 4+ years of experience in a planning role within FMCG.
You will be confident, proactive, and organised, understanding the importance of collaboration and strong relationship management. You will have extensive experience working with external manufacturers and suppliers, with a proven ability to effectively manage production planning and inventory. With a strong commercial acumen, you will be able to balance cost, efficiency, and service with ease.
With the ability to see the bigger picture whilst maintaining exemplary attention to detail, you will have strong analytical capability, exceptional Excel skills and experience working with ERP or MRP systems. Comfortable with operating in fast-paced, evolving environments, you will be enthusiastic about process improvement and have a passion for problem-solving.
Previous experience with a forward-thinking food or beverage brand would enable to you to thrive in this role.
