We are hiring a Data Governance and Records Management Auditor to ensure the accuracy and compliance of our Data Governance, Records Management and Non-Financial reporting processes. In this role, you will play a key part in improving data integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with IT and the BU/Fn areas to assess how data is structured and stored.
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
* Proven experience and knowledge auditing data and records governance policies, and data lineage tracking, including tools.
* Good understanding of audit processes and methodology including continuous monitoring and management of the audit universe.
* Hands-on experience in leading audits and drafting audit reports and issues.
* Report writing skills, with the ability to provide clear explanations to senior stakeholders
* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, balancing conflicting priorities.
* Good understanding of Risk Reporting processes and regulations such as BCBS239 and CCAR.
* Critical mind-set, and ability to challenge ideas to find the most appropriate solution.
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of Banking and Financial services industry
* Familiar with DAMA (Data Management Association International) framework
* Professional qualification relevant to Data and Records Management (CDMP, ICRM) certification preferred.
* Proven experience and knowledge of data analysis/data modelling - with SQL/Python/other.

Purpose of the role
To support the development of audits aligned to the bank's standards and objectives by working collaboratively with colleagues, providing accurate information and recommendations, and complying with policies and procedures.
Accountabilities
* Audit development and delivery support, including financial statements, accounting practices, operational processes, IT systems and risk management.
* Identification of operational risks to support the delivery of the Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) Audit Plan through risk assessments.
* Assessment of internal control effectiveness and their capability to identify and mitigate risk aligned to regulatory requirements.
* Communication of key findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including the Audit Owner, senior managers and directors.
* Identification of regulatory news and industry trends/developments to provide timely insight and recommendations for best practice.
