This Night-Shift Vehicle Body Repair Technician position offers a 4-day guaranteed workweek from 6:00pm to 6:00am, Monday to Thursday. As a dedicated Body Repair Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality vehicle repairs in a modern, well-equipped workshop environment. Responsibilities
* Remove damaged panels or parts for repair or replacement
* Repair minor dents, scratches, and rusted areas using fillers and soldering techniques
* Fit new panels when damage exceeds repairability
* Prepare surfaces by stripping old paintwork, sealant, and rust
* Match paint colours, prime, and spray finish repaired panels
* Seal and wax repaired surfaces to high standards
* Carry out Mechanical and Electrical Trim (MET), including stripping and fitting body panels
* Complete repairs independently, ensuring high-quality standards
* Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment
* Work efficiently within a fast-paced team setting
Qualifications
* Reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Bridgend
* Hold a valid UK driving licence with minimal penalty points
* Relevant IMI/NVQ qualifications in Vehicle Body Repair are highly advantageous but not essential
* Proven practical experience in vehicle body repair, including panel, paint, and MET disciplines
* Ability to work independently and deliver high standards of workmanship
* Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
* Flexibility to work night shifts on a consistent basis
* Individuals with significant practical experience but no formal qualifications will also be considered
