Integrated Early Years Service – Children’s Services
Salary: £28,598 – £31,022 (Grade 6, SCP 12–17)
Are you passionate about supporting families and making a difference in the lives of children? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Family Information Service Officer to join our Integrated Early Years Service.
About the Role
As a Family Information Service Officer, you will:
* Provide high-quality, accessible information to parents, carers, and professionals about early years and childcare services, including free early education entitlements.
* Support families to access family support services, Early Help, and the Local Offer for children and young people with SEND.
* Deliver a responsive helpline and childcare brokerage service, offering advice and guidance to those who need extra support.
* Maintain and update information on childcare providers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Ofsted and data protection standards.
* Work in partnership with colleagues, providers, and external agencies to ensure families receive the right support at the right time.
* Contribute to the annual Childcare Sufficiency Assessment and support the development of the service.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience delivering high-quality information and advice in a customer service environment.
* Can communicate clearly and sensitively with a wide range of people, both verbally and in writing.
* Understands the needs of families, including those requiring Early Help or SEND support.
* Is confident using ICT systems and managing sensitive information in line with GDPR.
* Holds a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in customer care, business administration, ICT, or a related field.
* Is committed to equality, diversity, and safeguarding.
A driving licence and willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends are required. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance and business use car insurance.
