Axon Moore is delighted to be partnering with a growing and progressive business in their search for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is a varied and hands-on position, combining transactional finance responsibilities with wider administrative support. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records while collaborating across multiple departments to support the wider business.
Location: Rochdale + Flexible Working
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000
The Role:
Managing purchase and sales ledger processes, including invoicing and payments
Supporting light credit control activities (approximately a few hours per week)
Performing bank postings and reconciliations, processing expenses, and handling general financial data
Assisting with management accounts, reporting, and basic job/margin analysis
Working closely with purchasing and operational teams to ensure systems and data remain accurate and up to date
Supporting month-end processes
Salary & Benefits:
£28,000 – £32,000
Early finish every Friday at 1PM (34-hour working week)

Candidate Requirements:
Previous strong experience in a similar Accounts Assistant or bookkeeping role
Strong understanding of debits, credits, and core bookkeeping principles
High level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail
