About the role
This is a new role within the newly opened canteen at Booker Distribution Fareham
You will have previous experience of a working kitchen
Working in a small team of catering assistants, you will provide a hot and cold food service to all colleagues and to ensure that the canteen area is clean and tidy at all times
Main Responsibilities
8. Ordering of Stock for food preparation and vending machines
9. Supporting stock management and stock control
10. Code checking and checking quality of stock
11. Preparation of food in accordance with food hygiene regulations
12. Vending machine replenishment and management (price changes, cleaning and cash collection)
13. Hospitality support
14. Assisting in maintaining housekeeping in the canteen & kitchen facilities, dining area and Kitchen counters
15. Adhere to food hygiene/HACCP/Allegen/COSHH Guidelines at all times
16. Maintaining due diligence on temperature controls and code dates
You will need
17. Cooking experience is essential
18. Food hygiene &safety for catering level 2
19. Allergen training certification
20. Food handling qualification
21. An excellent attitude towards customer service with a friendly outgoing personality and be used to working within a team environment.
22. A high standard of presentation and the ability to work within a team producing and serving a varied menu to colleagues and visitors on site
23. The ideal candidate will be required to prepare, cook and serve food along with cleaning duties and stock vending machines.
