Overview
Alliance Learning is seeking an Inclusion Manager for a temporary maternity cover contract ending on 27 February 2027 or upon the return of the substantive role holder, whichever is earlier. The role involves assessing, supporting and intervening for vulnerable learners—including those with SEND, care leavers, and ex‑offenders—and managing a small team of Functional Skills tutors while coordinating the provision.
Responsibilities
* Assess, support and provide intervention for vulnerable learners.
* Manage a small team of Functional Skills tutors.
* Coordinate the Functional Skills provision.
Qualifications
* Relevant degree or equivalent experience in education, social work, psychology or a related field.
* Proven experience working with vulnerable individuals or groups (e.g., SEND, disadvantaged backgrounds, behavioural needs).
* Experience developing and implementing inclusion strategies and support plans.
* Experience managing and supporting staff.
* Knowledge of SEND practices, barriers to learning and intervention strategies.
* Understanding of Safeguarding legislation and procedures.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organisational and case‑management skills.
Desirable Skills
* Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* Experience handling safeguarding and child protection concerns.
* Experience in a leadership and management role.
* Training delivery and coaching skills.
