Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Adult Social Care Client Systems Trainer to join our dynamic Quality Standards and Performance team.

In this specialised trainer role, you will confidently support a diverse range of learners within Adult Social Care, focusing on both current and future client-based systems. You will advise, teach, and guide small groups in either a classroom or remote setting.

This position is crucial for providing support in social care. Successful candidates will be part of a positive and supportive service dedicated to raising standards and delivering high-quality services for the citizens of Buckinghamshire. You will collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure that all digital case management recordings comply with both statutory and local requirements.

As a council and a team, we promote flexible working. While this role is full-time, 37 hours per week, we are open to considering applications from highly experienced candidates seeking more flexible hours.

Contract: 7 month secondment/fixed term contract opportunity

About the role

We are seeking an individual who is dedicated to supporting and developing others. The successful candidates should expect to:

1. Deliver social care System-related training and use various teaching methods to suit individual learners.
2. Assess individual training needs during training events to ensure tailored delivery.
3. Create documents, forms, correspondence and other training and learning materials as required.
4. Collect, enter, process and analyse information and compile reports using systems.
5. Quality check documents, materials and recommendations
6. Design and review training programmes and modules
7. Organise and develop/obtain training procedure manuals, guides and course materials
8. Offer specific training programmes to help workers maintain or improve job skills.
9. Attend meetings and seminars to obtain information for use in training programmes, or to inform management of ICT training programmes.
10. Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, and/or consultation with managers, instructors or customer representatives.
11. Stay up to date with the latest developments in training.
12. Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present this research.
13. Foster close relationships with operational teams in Adult Social Care to understand their processes and reflect in the training courses we provide

Any-Desk:

As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.

About you

You will need to demonstrate the following confidently and effectively:

14. Level 2 qualification in English & Mathematics
15. Relevant experience within this service area, with evidence of appropriate specialist knowledge
16. Previous experience in teaching groups of individuals
17. Understanding of Adult Social Care and the services provided
18. Experience of using social care IT systems such LAS and ContrOCC
19. Supporting improvements within the service area through recommending improvements in procedures/processes
20. Previous involvement within a quality or continuous improvement programme, as part of service delivery
21. Implement and deliver a defined programme/range of activities within a specified timescale
22. Ability to assess, monitor and review individual learners and/or programmes to identify and improve their effectiveness
23. Logical and systematic approach to tasks with close attention to detail.
