DP World are currently recruiting for a Senior Technician (Shuttle) to support the continued expansion of the LG Port in Stanford le Hope. In this role you will support the Team Leaders in leading the team of technicians while ensuring that breakdowns are promptly attended/rectified and maintenance tasks are carried out in a proficient and safe manner
About the role:
1. In the absence of Team leader, manage the team of technicians while ensuring that breakdowns are promptly attended/rectified and maintenance tasks are carried out in a proficient and safe manner
2. Manage and supervise contractors during delivery and commissioning of the equipment while ensuring that they adhere to safe working practices
3. Manage and supervise external contractors working on any asset while ensuring that safe working practices are always adhered to
4. Provide support/input to improve/develop and update method statements and risk assessments for any preventive maintenance or repairs carried out on any asset
5. Lead by example and encourage other to implement/improve safe working procedures and practices.
6. Work closely with the stores and Asset Managers to maintain inventory and stock.
7. Innovate, improve at all times to improve productivity and equipment performance
8. Compile and distribute shift reports at the end of the shift
9. Carry out repair and maintenance and repair activities following LG/DPW Safety standards, LG engineering procedures, safe industry practices and local HSE regulations/requirements;
10. Carry out preventive maintenance and repair works a proficient manner with the objective to minimise downtime of equipment.
11. Provide/collect data/information during the execution of preventive, emergency and corrective maintenance tasks on any asset to Engineering Planners.
12. Coordinate with Engineers planners in the absence of Team leader in order to proficiently execute the plan set up by planners
Your Key Skills:
13. National Qualifications Framework – Level 3 Qualification or higher.
14. Minimum 5 years of engineering/maintenance experience;
15. Excellent knowledge of equipment maintenance/engineering;
16. Professionally qualified in mechanical/Electrical discipline;
17. Experience and knowledge of HSE regulations related to equipment maintenance and activities;
18. Excellent communication and personal skills;
19. Excellent team player;
20. Dynamic, creative and innovative.
