Swisslog is seeking a Controls Service Engineer based in the Midlands. The role can be home-based with travel to customer sites as needed. Our UK head office is in Redditch.

As a Controls Service Engineer for automated intralogistics systems, you will play a key operational role. Your main tasks include:
* Providing on-call services to address malfunctions promptly and efficiently.
* Offering remote 2nd- and 3rd-level support for system operations.
* Managing smaller projects independently, utilizing your technical expertise.
* Participating in retrofitting and modernization of existing systems to keep technologies current.
* Creating detailed documentation and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
* Traveling up to 20% to support on-site customer issues and project implementations.
* Building and maintaining good relationships with internal and external customers.
* Representing the company in meetings.
What you need to succeed
* A degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, mechatronics, or a similar qualification such as HND/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
* Solid experience in PLC programming, especially with TIA, S7, or Beckhoff TwinCat2/3.
* Comprehensive knowledge of fieldbus systems, HMI systems, and frequency converters.
* Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical/control technologies.
* Experience with industrial warehouse systems is a plus.
* Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
