SEN Teaching Assistant
Aspire People are working in partnership with a mainstream primary school in Salford, M38 who are looking to recruit a dedicated, motivated behaviour support Assistant to support within their KS2 department.
* Location: Salford, M38
* September 2025 start
* Long-term and casual positions available
* Pay: 14.00 per hour – 17.00 per hour
The Primary School caters for young people with Social Emotional Mental Health and who have had a difficult period in their lives. They aim to ensure that they provide necessary support to improve their confidence, self-esteem and enable them to become successful learners in school and prepared for their future working lives. Pupils are taught in small groups, where they study the core curriculum and receive the extra support they require. Students are then able to make good progress as staff can ensure that learning is tailored to individual student needs.
Role and Responsibilities
* Build and maintain positive working relationships with the pupils and assist them in overcoming barriers to learning to achieve their true potential and accessing the curriculum.
* Support pupils displaying challenging behaviours with a resilient, calm approach to practice.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience supporting pupils displaying challenging behaviours
* Ability to work with pupils in a SEND/SEMH setting with a calm and patient approach
