What you\'ll be doing
* Produce monthly reporting, including full Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, with timely submission of budget and forecast data to Group Finance.
* Analyse business performance, highlighting key variances to budget/forecast and providing clear, actionable insights.
* Ensure accuracy and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, fixed asset registers (FAR), and stock listings, with all reconciliations completed and reviewed monthly.
* Carry out regular internal reviews to confirm stock and work-in-progress (WIP) are accurately reflected in financial systems and reports.
* Proactively identify and implement improvements to financial and business processes, ensuring timely, accurate management information is consistently available.
* Keep up to date with relevant accounting standards and implement new treatments as required.
* Prepare and review supporting schedules and documentation for year-end audit processes.
* Prepare and submit statutory returns (including VAT) accurately and on time.
What we\'re looking for
* A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) - or qualified by experience.
* Strong business partnering experience with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
* Commercially aware, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Confident working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
* Advanced Excel skills, with experience developing and interpreting financial models.
* Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and monthly reporting cycles.
* A track record of driving process improvements.
Desirable but not essential
* Experience within a manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of systems such as COINs, Tagetik, or Power BI.
* Experience in a large or matrixed organisation.
