Library Assistant needed in Merthyr Tydfil Paying £13.05 per hr ref OR24694
Full time hours on a temporary basis
Key Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service to library users of all ages.
Assist with issuing, renewing, and returning books and resources.
Help customers with enquiries, including locating information and using online catalogues.
Support digital inclusion by helping users with computers, printing, scanning, and basic IT tasks.
Shelve and organise books, keeping the library tidy and accessible.
Assist with stock management, including processing new books and withdrawals.
Support library events such as story times, reading groups, workshops, and outreach activities.
Manage reservations, overdue notices, and membership registrations.
Carry out cash handling, administrative tasks, and daily library routines.
Ensure a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all users.
