To work as a member of a flexible team, ensuring all out-patient reception areas are manned at all times. The role involves welcoming patients, carers, relatives and visitors into the hospital by acting as the first point of contact for patients attending the Trust. The post holder will undertake timely validation of patients’ key demographics and information, accurately record the outcome of the appointment and make return appointments as directed by clinicians. The post holder will also support the reception supervisor in the identification of patients who are not ordinarily resident in the UK and the payment of patient travel expenses. This role is vital to support patient safety and Trust income.
