Who You Are We are seeking a highly competent and qualified Solicitor or Barrister (Supreme Court of England and Wales/English Bar) or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives with substantial Child Care experience. You should possess in-depth knowledge of all aspects of Child Care law and exhibit a professional and organised approach to your work. Highly organised, you should have the ability to prioritise workload effectively, work under pressure, be flexible, and use your initiative, while being an effective team player in a dynamic legal environment. What the Job Involves You will be responsible for managing a caseload of child protection matters, including complex cases, ensuring high quality and timely delivery of work. The role requires providing legal advice in line with the Council’s needs and undertaking advocacy at all levels of the Family Court. You will be supported by a paralegal and supervised by the Child Care legal management team to ensure adherence to the Council’s business plan and policies. Your tasks will include drafting legal documents, giving legal advice, gathering evidence, filing documents at court, undertaking advocacy, and directly interacting with clients and legal professionals.
