Overview


We are seeking dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioners to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidates will have a strong and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of young minds and ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities



Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Curriculum for Wales Framework. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play with a strong emphasis on outdoor play and education, fostering children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's individual needs. Manage daily routines, ensuring that all children are safe, happy, and engaged throughout the day. Drive initiatives to enhance the nursery environment, maintaining cleanliness and organisation at all times. Support leadership within the nursery by mentoring junior staff and contributing to team meetings and professional development opportunities.


Experience



Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A qualification in childcare is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Welsh language skills are highly desirable Demonstrated ability to manage groups of children while fostering a positive learning environment. A passion for childcare combined with leadership qualities will be advantageous in this role.
