Offer description

We have an exciting development opportunity for a permanent Clinical Team Leader role, working 37.5 hours per week.

You will be an integral part of the senior team, providing clinical leadership to nursing staff, inspiring, supporting, and overseeing the delivery of high-quality care.

This role is key to the ongoing development of the unit and involves contributing to quality improvement initiatives. The unit is a vital part of our Acute Care Pathway with strong links across all citywide services.

The Glenbourne Unit is an acute mental health inpatient service, comprising a male 19-bed ward (Harford Ward) and a female 19-bed ward (Bridford Ward). Currently rated as outstanding by the CQC, it offers a range of support and treatment for individuals experiencing deteriorating mental health, aimed at supporting recovery.

We seek a candidate committed to providing high-quality service, with strong clinical leadership skills, excellent organization, and a passion for acute care and improving patient experience.

Recent experience in acute care or a similar setting, with the knowledge and skills to manage people and change effectively in a busy ward, is essential. Staff and team development is important, so being a role model and promoting evidence-based practice within the team is crucial.

All staff must be willing and able to work across a 7-day service.

Main duties of the job

* Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate care programmes. Take charge of the ward regularly.
* Supervise junior staff and teach qualified/unqualified staff, including students.
* Work within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and local policies.
* Lead and manage the ward effectively.
* Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team, attending meetings and case conferences.
* Maintain standards within a designated team.
* Promote collaborative patient care and support junior staff.
* Assist in maintaining standards of care and introducing patient involvement initiatives.
* Engage in clinical governance and quality improvement activities, such as audits and policy development.

Please note that the job advertisement may close earlier than the deadline.

Also, this role may not be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route.
