Job Summary
The Estates Services Operational Compliance Officer will support the in‑house estates compliance team in delivering and monitoring key compliance activities across all Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust sites. The role involves fire safety, water hygiene, electrical and mechanical systems, statutory testing, and preventive maintenance, ensuring a safe, compliant environment in line with NHS standards and internal policies.
Main Duties
* Assist in monitoring and completing documentation of statutory/operational compliance checks (fire safety, water hygiene, PAT testing, emergency lighting).
* Contribute to day‑to‑day data entry, document control, and audit preparation.
* Carry out inspections of statutory/operational equipment, replacing or adjusting as needed per NHS standards.
* Identify remedial works arising from routine compliance activities and support the supervisor in monitoring their completion.
* Conduct site‑wide condition audits, report issues to the EFM helpdesk, and liaise with specialist estates staff or contractors to ensure remedial work is completed on time and to PCFT standards.

Job Responsibilities

* Assemble and install non‑complex electrical mechanical services and equipment as required.
* Carry out installation and repairs on all aspects of non‑complex electrical and mechanical services and equipment.
* Undertake fault finding and other non‑complex tasks.
Person Specification
Essential
* Time served electrical or mechanical experience.
* Experience working in the building industry.
* Experience managing own workload.
* Understanding of H&S regulations.
Desirable
* NVQ level 2 electrical, mechanical or building services.
* Experience working with CAFM systems.
* Understanding of HTM's.
* Experience working in the NHS.
