Brief Description Join Network Rail as a Train Delay Team Leader and take ownership of a high‑performing, shift‑based team. You’ll manage Train Delay Attribution performance and attendance during live operations, and ensure delay attribution is delivered consistently against industry‑agreed standards, strengthening the accuracy of incident records and the insights our stakeholders rely on. About The Role (External) Key Accountabilities Direct and co-ordinate the activities of Train Delay Attributors. Manage Industry Agreed Attribution processes and standards are adhered to, guiding, briefing or directing TDA staff on attribution as required. Act as lead point of contact, advising and updating Network Rail Stakeholders and Management team on relevant performance information, to facilitate a high standard of Data Quality. Establish that appropriate procedures are applied during periods of disruption, outages or workload fluctuation. Maintain a log of incidents and unusual occurrences.Carry out on shift investigations of incident irregularity or TDA behaviours not in line with Network Rail Polices and Processes. Respond to mishaps and lead on exceptional circumstances. Support the wellbeing of staff on shift and arrange short notice cover for sickness, absence, etc, at designated locations when no clerical support is available, ensuring compliance with Network Rail guidelines. Operate and assist on delay attribution and resolution as required by senior managers. Monitor team output and take remedial/development actions in respect of relevant KPI’s. Infill of missing train times on shift on the day concerned. Essential Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications A good general standard of education, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing Leadership skills Geographical knowledge of the route Knowledge of Windows based applications and Computer Systems Knowledge of railway and infrastructure operation Strong commercial awareness Flexible and enthusiastic attitude Ability to communicate effectively Good knowledge of train services operating within route Desirable Knowledge of Performance Management Computer Systems The ability to analyse and interpret data Appreciation of Railway Rules and Regulations Awareness of Template Schedule 8 Awareness of Network Rail personnel policies and procedures TDA experience.
