The Lunesdale District Nurses are looking for an enthusiastic, hard‑working, highly motivated staff nurse to work in an evolving district nursing service. The successful applicant will work closely with health and social care colleagues to provide high quality care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions in the community setting. The role requires flexible working over 7 days including weekends and evenings. Student nurses due to qualify and newly qualified staff nurses are welcomed.
The role requires excellent communication skills as you will undertake complex nursing assessments and develop and deliver programmes of care for patients and carers. The district nurses work a 24‑hour service and support is expected to maintain service delivery. You will work collaboratively with other professionals, voluntary sector and informal carers to promote excellent care in patients’ homes and community settings.
Staff will have access to clinical supervision, training and occupational health services. A full UK driving licence is required.
