Role Responsibilities
* Ensuring compliance with internal tendering and contract award process and procedure.
* Understanding Public Procurement Regulations.
* Familiarity with framework procurements, open/restricted procedures and competitive dialogue.
* Ability to produce clear, tailored, persuasive responses that answer technical questions, method statements, quality / innovation criteria and social value requirements.
* Adapting content to strict word counts, character limits and structured response formats.
* Applying win themes and value propositions across answers.
* Ensuring full compliance with tender instructions.
* Managing document controls and versioning.
* Gathering data, case studies, KPIs, policies, and operational inputs.
* Turning raw information into highscoring narrative.
* Managing multiple tenders simultaneously.
* Writing answers that directly target scoring matrices and evaluation criteria.
* Understanding contractual risks, TUPE implications, mobilisation risks, and operational constraints.
Ideal Candidate
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in bid writing, able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of preparing scored tender responses and achievement of high scores which ultimately led to winning bids.
* The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in public procurement sector, especially for contracting with Local Authorities and major infrastructure projects.
* Professional attitude and excellent communicator with the ability to communicate with all appropriate stakeholders as necessary.
* A high attention to detail with an excellent editing and proofing ability.
* Excellent literacy skills, with an extensive vocabulary.
* Deadline driven with effective time management skills.
* Thrive in a busy environment.
* Ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
* Strong competence in Microsoft Office suite and other appropriate software.
