Role Overview
The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of
the LGBT+ in Health and Social Care initiative. This is a varied and fast-paced
administrative role requiring strong organisational skills, professionalism, and
confidence liaising with external stakeholders including local authorities and NHS
teams.
You will work closely with and report directly to the Company Director, providing
essential administrative and coordination support across the project.
Key Responsibilities
● Respond to emails and manage inbox communications in a timely and
professional manner
● Provide general administrative support including document preparation, data
entry, and record keeping
● Make and receive phone calls on behalf of the initiative
● Liaise with external stakeholders including local councils, NHS teams, and
community partners
● Support meeting coordination, scheduling, and minute taking where required
● Assist with maintaining organised digital filing systems and databases
● Support the delivery of community initiatives, events, and programmes
through administrative coordination
● Undertake other general administrative duties as required to support the
Director and wider initiative
Person Specification
Essential:
● Proven administrative experience (minimum 1 year preferred)
● Strong organisational and time-management skills
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Confident using email, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and general office
systems
● Professional and confident liaising with external stakeholders
● Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
● High level of discretion and professionalism
Desirable:
● Previous administrative experience within health or social care
● Experience liaising with local councils, NHS, or community organisations
● Interest in equality, diversity and inclusion, particularly LGBTQ+ inclusion
within health and social care
Please note:
Healthcare or support worker experience alone is not sufficient for this role.
Applicants must have strong and demonstrable administrative experience.
Working Arrangement
● Based in or able to commute to Luton, Bedfordshire
● Flexible working hours may be available depending on project needs
