Job overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Deputy Director of Quality Improvement (QI) and Listening into Action (LiA) to join our Clinical Transformation Directorate.

The successful candidate will provide expert input and facilitation in terms of Quality Improvement, Listening into Action, and programme delivery for prioritised initiatives. This role involves individual responsibility for high-priority development programmes within the Trust, many of which are in partnership with other organisations, thereby enabling the modernisation of services.


Main duties of the job

* Operational management and senior leadership of the QI Team to support the implementation of our QI approach through training and focused activities
* Strategic and operational management of the LiA programme integrated with QI activities
* Collaboration with Trust service leaders, service users, carers, and staff at all levels to develop effective quality services
* Promotion of service user, carer, and expert by experience involvement in improvement activities
* Leadership and coaching of staff involved in QI projects to achieve their full potential
* Strategic direction of the QI system in collaboration with the Chief Transformation Officer and Executive Team
* Building and maintaining excellent working relationships with key professional and stakeholder groups
* Promotion of the Trust’s activities externally and undertaking promotional activities and training improvement activities with partner organisations

Person specification


Experience

* Highly developed knowledge of NHS quality and regulatory issues and requirements including CQC registration.
* A competent matrix manager and strategic thinker


Qualifications

* Registered clinician and/or significant experience in clinical service delivery within a patient facing setting
* A recognised qualification in Quality Improvement and/or Listening Into Action methodology and practice


Other

* Able to work in accordance with the Staff Compact and Trust Values and Behaviours
