About the role
We have a new opportunity for a lawyer to join our Governance team in Bristol. You will lead the legal team, reporting to the Director of Governance and Legal, in a collaborative and high-performing environment.
In this role, you will:
* Lead a team of 6 legal professionals (solicitors, paralegals, trainees).
* Provide contract review and negotiation services.
* Review and negotiate contracts.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders.
* Manage and update the firm’s terms, conditions, and policies.
* Mentor and support junior legal staff.
* Provide legal advice as needed.
* Maintain the legal compliance register.
About you
You should have:
* Over 5 years PQE as a commercial lawyer, with pragmatic contract experience.
* Experience with service agreements, ideally within the construction industry.
* Team management skills, self-awareness, and a collaborative spirit.
* Experience supporting others’ development.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
