turn IT on is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and experienced 3rd line technical support specialist to join our existing technical support team based at our Princes Risborough office. The role involves providing an outstanding level of customer service and high-end technical support to our schools.
You will report to the Service Desk Manager and act as the primary point of technical escalation, as well as providing ad-hoc coaching and assistance for first and second-line support.
Responsibilities
* Manage 2nd & 3rd line technical support for schools, ensuring excellent customer service and support
* Resolve and manage technical issues impacting school operations by providing robust solutions
* Support and mentor 1st/2nd line support roles
* Enforce and monitor compliance with school policies
* Lead and contribute to various projects from inception to implementation
* Provide internal network support as required
* Deliver internal staff training
Skills and Abilities
* Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Operating Systems
* Experience with Virtualisation Technologies, particularly HyperV
* Knowledge of Cloud Technologies such as Office365 and Azure
* Experience leading server and network installations
* Ability to make proactive decisions during ICT emergencies
* Outstanding customer service skills with positive and proactive communication, both verbal and written
* Flexible, adaptable, friendly, and approachable
* Excellent team player, capable of working independently with effective planning and organization
The role is full-time, with options for office-based or hybrid working (depending on location), with an expectation of working from the office twice weekly.
The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. Candidates may need to travel to schools and must have a valid driving licence and own vehicle.
