Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Cramlington for a Forklift Engineer. The primary responsibilities include inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklifts and other material handling equipment. Key tasks involve troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The Forklift Mechanic will communicate with customers, provide service reports, and support the service team in delivering reliable and efficient solutions for client needs.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of forklifts and material handling equipment
Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively
Experience with preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, and safety compliance practices
Proficiency in technical documentation, service reporting, and communication with both team members and customers
Ability to work on-site in Cramlington and adapt to a fast-paced, hands-on role
Formal technical education or qualifications in mechanical engineering, automotive repair, or related fields (preferred)
Prior experience in forklift or heavy equipment maintenance is a plus
