Production Planning SpecialistLocation: Belfast Contract: Permanent | Full-timeAn established manufacturing organisation based in Belfast is seeking a Production Planning Specialist to support the delivery of efficient, on-time production. This is a key role within the operations team, responsible for turning supply plans into achievable daily and weekly production schedules while balancing customer demand, capacity, and available resources.You'll work closely with supply planning, production supervisors, and wider operations to ensure materials, labour, and equipment are aligned to meet production targets and quality standards.The RoleAs Production Planning Specialist, you will:Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to maximise the effective use of resourcesTranslate monthly supply plans into clear daily and weekly production plansAllocate work orders to production lines in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective mannerMonitor production activity and adjust schedules to manage backlogs, design changes, or material and labour shortagesPrepare and release work orders and purchase requests in line with production plansEstimate labour, tooling, and equipment requirements to meet production demandsEvaluate production specifications and plant capacity to calculate machine and operator loadingAnalyse production data to ensure material flow meets operational requirementsSupport a safe, positive working environment across production areasApply root cause and structured problem-solving methods to address non-conforming processesUndertake additional duties as required by managementThe PersonYou will ideally have:3-5 years' experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar manufacturing operations roleStrong knowledge of manufacturing capacity planning, resource utilisation, and material flowExperience working closely with supply planning and production teamsProficiency in ERP, MRP and production planning systemsStrong organisational, analytical, and communication skillsIf this role could be of interest, apply today or reach out to for a confidential discussion.INDKYSkills:PRODUCTION PLANNING LOGISTICS MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING PLANNINGBenefits:Great BenefitsWHJS1_NI
