Location Dewsbury, West Yorkshire - Manufacturing Plant
Employer Engineering Consultancy working across the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, water, and wider process industries
Contract Type Contract role - 6 Months
Start Date Monday 16th February
Working Hours
Monday - Thursday: 6:00am - 6:00pm
Friday: 6:00am - 1:00pm
Saturday mornings as required
Approx. 60 hours per weekPay Rate £30.00 per hour
All hours paid at the same rate (no overtime premiums)
Role Overview
A skilled Contract Pipefitter is required to support ongoing work at a manufacturing plant in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. The role is with an established engineering consultancy delivering projects across a range of process industries, including chemical, pharmaceutical, food, water, and related sectors.
The successful candidate will have a strong pipefitting background, be confident fabricating pipework from isometric drawings, and possess MIG welding experience to support fabrication and installation activities on site.
Key Responsibilities
Fabrication and installation of pipework systems within an industrial manufacturing environment
Working from isometric drawings to fabricate pipe spools accurately
MIG welding of pipework and associated components as required
Measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling pipework to specification
Ensuring all work meets quality standards and project requirements
Carrying out visual checks and reporting any defects or issues
Adhering to all site health & safety procedures and safe systems of work
Working closely with supervisors, engineers, and other trades on site
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work areaSkills & Experience Required
Proven experience as a Pipefitter in industrial or manufacturing environments
Strong ability to fabricate from isometric drawings
MIG welding experience (essential)
Background in process industry environments (chemical, pharmaceutical, food, water, etc.)
High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
