Puro Associates are delighted to be supporting a well-established accountancy practice in their recruitment for a Management Accountant. The role will involve working with multiple clients in varying different industries. This is an exciting opportunity for you to gain a wide understanding of all areas of finance, to help develop and grow into an all-rounded finance team member. It is also a unique opportunity to experience how finance works in both Industry and practice.
The Role
* Compiling regular management accounts for various clients; on a monthly or quarterly basis. This may include reviewing the trial balance in full, bank reconciliations, wages control reviews and postings, aged payable/receivables reviews, posting month end journals, reviewing prepayments and accruals.
* Ensuring all balance sheet reconciliations are completed by the accounts team or performing our own reconciliations where required.
* Review and produce monthly reporting packs for the Business Development team and clients
* Producing commentary on the periodic results, including variances to prior periods budgets and forecasts and be required to analyse information in excel.
* Manage your own portfolio of clients and diary, with particular care of reaching reporting deadlines and requirements.
* Complete VAT returns, and perform VAT checks for certain clients and any other reporting required as per client briefs
* Preparation and collection of information required for internal Accounts/Tax team for statuary year end reporting
* Support the management accountants in performing quarterly Internal audits and support clients in any financial and operations functions. This may include continual reviews of processes to improve efficiency and quality of output, sharing best practices across the varying client base and finance teams.
You
* Ideally ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified
* Have some experience in a wide range of accounting software and systems or be able to understand and work their way around the new systems with ease
* Competent in Microsoft excel and other computer software’s
* Good at analysing data accurately and efficiently, with good attention to detail
* Be able to build relationships with others under different environments and settings
