We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician - Milling to join our team at our manufacturing site in Basingstoke.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am – 2pm & 2pm – 10pm, alternating weekly.
The role:
As Manufacturing Technician - Milling, you will operate the manufacturing plant in the Flexible Manufacturing Unit.
Key duties and responsibilities:
* Loading and unloading billets and piece parts into CNC Machining Centres for manufacturing processes.
* Operating CNC equipment to produce parts as assigned.
* Monitoring machines to detect equipment or process errors.
* Stopping machines and reporting if necessary to prevent failures.
* Maintaining machines and equipment used.
* Monitoring and taking responsibility for the quality of components using a wide range of equipment including CMM inspection.
* Completing production documentation, written and electronic.
What are we looking for?
As Manufacturing Technician - Milling, you will have the following:
Essential skills:
* Previous experience in operating vertical and horizontal machining centres manufacturing close tolerance prismatic parts safely and efficiently.
* Previous experience of accurately using standard manual measuring equipment and gauges.
* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in English furnished in either written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
* Basic PC skills.
* Good mechanical aptitude and excellent hand/eye coordination.
* Familiarity with hand deburring tools.
* Ability to undertake repetitive tasks consistently and accurately to verbal or written instructions.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Self-motivated and reliable.
