Overview
The successful applicant is required to provide a supportive role to the Ultrasound team ensuring the delivery of an efficient and effective service. You will work as part of the team to give the best quality of service by assisting sonographers, nurses and medical staff by carrying out non-radiographic clinical and non-clinical tasks within the Maternity and General Medical Ultrasound Departments throughout the Imaging Directorate. We are the specialist centre for major trauma for the North Midlands and North Wales. We have put together a wide range of development packages aimed at ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to fulfil their potential. Responsibilities
* Provide a supportive role to the Ultrasound team to help deliver an efficient and effective service.
* Assist sonographers, nurses and medical staff by carrying out non-radiographic clinical and non-clinical tasks within the Maternity and General Medical Ultrasound Departments across the Imaging Directorate.
* Support the Ultrasound Department with a 7 day service with hours between 8.30 am and 8.00 pm across Royal Stoke and County sites and multiple community units.
* Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a professional attitude focused on the dignity and well-being of the patient.
Requirements
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; experience of direct patient care desirable but not essential.
* Confidentiality is vitally important and basic computer skills are essential; ability to work as part of a team.
* Vehicle ownership and a full driving licence are essential due to the requirement to travel across sites.
