Material Controller x 4 - Locations: Bridgwater, Bristol, Site Office, Remote Principal Accountabilities: Take ownership and implement agreed-upon purchasing strategies Develop and manage category input and initiatives for the budget process and forecasting procurement cost savings within SAP (Reporting tool) Maintain communication with suppliers and commercial teams during procurement to ensure timely delivery while adhering to procurement documents Actively manage the procurement process from order placement to receipt of products and subsequent payment of invoices Build and maintain strong vendor relationships within the supported category Negotiate and place orders, and enter contracts for procurement of necessary materials to ensure on-time delivery for station needs Collaborate with various teams to ensure continuity of quality supply Monitor purchase orders and take necessary steps to ensure compliance Drive on-time delivery for all external purchases Receive purchase requests, consult with the requester to develop specifications, identify viable suppliers, and obtain quotes Prepare purchase requisitions and orders using the purchasing system (AS9) Maintain accurate and organised purchasing document packs for auditing purposes Assist with follow-ups and provide information to requesters regarding orders Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, and Experience: Strong attention to detail and target-driven Proficient with analytical tools Ability to resolve problems and issues with suppliers involving delivery, quantity, or damages Exceptional influencing and team-building skills, with the ability to build consensus and engage with key stakeholders at all levels Demonstrated ability to provide innovative solutions for complex purchasing initiatives in a fast-paced, demanding environment Proficient in Office 365 tools such as Excel and Word Comfortable following processes with a healthy questioning attitude Minimum education requirement of GCSE/National Qualifications standards Valid driver's licence Objective: We are seeking four experienced Material Controllers to join our Clients team in various locations: Bridgwater, Bristol, Site Office, and Remote.
