Overview
MFT’s Value for Patients Associate Director supports the Value for Patients Director with the strategic development of the Trust's “Value‑based Healthcare” approach. The role contributes to long‑term financial sustainability and emphasizes patient benefit, harm avoidance, and equitable access to treatment. The postholder works with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust continues to provide safe and clinically effective services to the people of Greater Manchester.

Key Responsibilities
* Support development and implementation of MFT’s Value for Patients Programme and manage the Value for Patients Productivity and Programme Management Office (PMO) team.
* Develop, monitor, challenge and support delivery of the portfolio of programmes that support major productivity and cost improvement, and income recovery.
* Engage key internal and external stakeholders in planning and delivery of programme objectives through change and improvement management.
* Collaborate across all Clinical Groups and demonstrate strong project‑management, facilitation and negotiation skills.
* Support the annual Value for Patients Programme to ensure performance and strategic targets are met and contribute to the Trust’s strategic and corporate objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
* In‑depth professional knowledge and experience of financial management, hospital operations, performance management, information systems and staff management.
* Experience in an operational role that demonstrates the ability to lead complex programmes and drive operational excellence.
* Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills with a ‘can‑do’ attitude.
