A personal assistant is required to support a happy and busy ten-year-old boy living in the Bude area.
He has Epilepsy-KBJ syndrome, ADHD and other complex needs, and he would like someone who he can build up a positive relationship with and provide him with some 1:1 support.
He would like someone to promote his independence and build self-esteem. He loves days out and visiting museums. He enjoys music, plays drums and guitar and loves trains and buses and animals.
A personal assistant will enable him to enjoy activities in his local community and with his family on occasions.
Hours per week are to be discussed as this is flexible. Occasional weekend and mainly school holiday availability will be required.
The rate of pay is £12.60 per hour.
Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people is essential. A full driving licence is desirable.

The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
