We’re looking for an experienced Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join our newly opened Advance Roofing Supplies branch in Bury St Edmunds. This is a hands‑on role at the heart of the branch, working closely with customers and colleagues to keep everything running smoothly while helping to grow the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Serving trade and retail customers at the counter, delivering a great experience every time
• Building relationships and generating sales from new and existing customers
• Processing orders, quotes, and enquiries accurately and efficiently
• Keeping displays well stocked, organised, and presentable
• Liaising with suppliers on product availability and pricing
• Supporting across the branch, including yard and warehouse duties when required

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in roofing or builders’ merchant sales (essential)
• Strong knowledge of roofing materials
• A confident, customer‑focused approach with a natural ability to sell
• Someone who enjoys being part of a small team and getting stuck in
• A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one)
• Eligible to work in the UK

• Competitive salary
• Hours: 7am-5pm Monday to Friday, 7am-12pm alternate Saturdays
• Holiday: 23 days plus Bank Holidays
