We are recruiting for CNC Operators on Night shift. Description
LOCATION: Stroud, Gloucestershire
HOURS: Night Shift – 37.5 hours per week
Night shift is 10pm to 5am Monday to Thursday and then Friday 5pm to 10.30pm
START DATE: Immediate
SALARY: £13.45ph plus shift allowance of £ = £18.38ph

Nailsworth Office:
This role provides the business with the running of one or more CNC machines in the relevant CNC Cell. To take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and of other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work. Ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements and full commitment to the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies & management system. Setters are responsible for crafting and maintaining precision parts and components, which are crucial in industries such as aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing.
Work directly affects product quality, safety, and overall efficiency in the production process.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for operating one or more CNC machines in the Cell.
2. Responsible for daily machine health check list.
3. Responsible for traveler bookings, documents, in the Cell.
4. Responsible for stamping own work.
5. Report NCR’s. (Non-Conformance Reports).
6. Assist with other duties at the discretion of the Production Team Leader.
7. Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
·Participate in training when required.
8. Minimise the level of scrap components.
9. To mentor and support any new staff or apprentices which are working within the Machine Shop.
10. To actively work with the Production Team Leader and Production Manager to establish key delivery dates/requirements.
11. Communicate workshop issues to the CNC Setter / Charge Hand’s, and Production Team Leader.
12. Collaborating with engineers, designers, and quality control professionals. Their input and precision in crafting components are highly influential in ensuring that final products meet design specifications and quality standards.
13. Provide feedback on design improvements and process optimization.
Personal Skills / Qualifications
· * GCSE’s or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Engineering qualifications preferably craft apprenticeship or equivalent.
· * Basic CNC programming and machine competence.
· * Good written and verbal communication skills.
· * Ability to be able to read and understand engineering drawings.
