Description Reporting to the Electrical and Instrumentation Package Manager the Electrical and Instrumentation Discipline Lead will support the site activities performed by the Electrical HV Facilities contractor and the wider Costain Construction Team as required.. The role will monitor construction performance, assist in the PTW Process, review and implement RAMS, and assist with coordinating all applicable site activities. They will also support the project quality team with monitoring inspection & test plans and carrying out site inspections. The role also supports the wider team and fellow discipline superintendents, the Advanced Work Packaging Lead, the Work Pack Engineers and wider Construction and HSE teams. This role will require to act as the Costain Isolation Authority and Electrical Responsible Person on the Project. This role will be based full time on site in Teesside LI-AW1 Responsibilities Review construction documents and RAMS for site works and ensure compliance in the field Support the Work Packaging team to review Installation Work Packs (IWP’s) to ensure suitability for field construction Support the Package Managers and Area Construction Manager in all matters Electrical and Instrumentation. Monitor facilities contractor performance in the field and help to coordinate all site works Carry out site inspections to support the quality team including witnessing cable jointing, and testing activities. Monitor HSEQ performance in the field and support document reviews Attend daily coordination meetings and SIMOPS reviews Ensure adherence to safety regulations and project requirements Maintain accurate records of work progress, inspections, and any incidents or issues. Monitor facilities contractor performance including cleaning and scheduled & responsive maintenance. Act as Costain Responsible Electrical Person on the Project. Act as EI IA (Isolation Authority) on the Project and on the Project Temporary Facilities. Qualifications Strong understanding of Electrical and Instrumentation installation works, and testing and commissioning of process equipment. Demonstrate sufficient experience (Ten years plus) in a similar role on a large-scale project. Proven experience in supervising Electrical construction teams in brownfield projects and in controlled environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders. Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. Ability to read and interpret EI construction drawings and specifications. Experience in progress reporting and record keeping Must be Microsoft Office Literate ISSOW and PTW experience Must have Isolation Authority and Responsible Electrical Person experience on a Live Plant. Ideally be apprentice trained or have a discipline specific qualification or trade background – i.e. C Guilds, NVQ 3 or above (HNC/D) in an Electrical Engineering subject. CSCS/CCNSG Card JIB Approved Electrician Compex Certification
