We are now very excited to grow our team further by hiring a ITAM Practice Lead to be a figurehead and subject matter specialist of ITAM services and licensing optimisation consultancy delivered within Phoenix Software.
What will you be doing?
* Manage the ITAM Consultancy function, overseeing project schedules and ensuring that all contributing consultants are effectively supported and aligned.
* Play a critical role in enabling successful project closure and billing, ensuring deliverables meet both client expectations and internal quality benchmarks.
* Lead client engagements to design, implement, and optimise ITAM strategies, policies, and processes.
* Provide expert advice on software asset management (SAM) best practices.
* Support the sales function through expert scoping, solution design, and product demonstrations, particularly around complex licensing and ITAM engagements.
* Lead the training, development, and mentorship of team members, cultivating a high-performance culture and ensuring consistent delivery excellence across the ITAM and FinOps practice.

What are we looking for?
The right person for this role will have extensive ITAM consultancy experience within a Licensing Solution Provider (LSP) or independent ITAM consultancy with proven leadership capabilities.
Key Skills & Experience:
* 10+ years of progressive ITAM management experience, including delivering baselines, audits, optimisation assessments, and managed services across major vendors, particularly Microsoft.
* Expert in software licensing, entitlement analysis, compliance risk assessment, remediation planning, and cost optimisation, including cloud and subscription governance (Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365).
* Proven experience leading high-performing ITAM/FinOps teams, managing resources, mentoring consultants, and driving continuous improvement.
* Strong analytical and strategic skills, translating licensing and usage data into actionable recommendations and optimising business processes.
* Proficient in ITAM tooling, reporting, configuration, and client-facing use cases; skilled at delivering workshops, training, and demonstrations.
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to engage technical teams, senior executives, and C-suite stakeholders.
* Experience supporting the full sales lifecycle, including scoping, solution design, presentations, and responding to advanced licensing queries.
* ITIL trained or certified (preferred); ideally completed the Microsoft Licensing Body of Knowledge exam.
* Highly organised, outcome-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in client-facing environments.

This role is expected to be hybrid with 2-3 days per week from HQ in Pocklington (YO42)
