Elloughton Primary School is a vibrant, aspiring school with a positive, friendly, welcoming atmosphere and a dedicated team of staff.
We wish to appoint a highly skilled, organised and dedicated School Business Manager to join and lead our administration team, playing a key role in the strategic development of the school. The role involves a range of financial and administrative duties to support and work alongside the Senior Leadership Team.
Working as an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute to the strategic direction of the school and take responsibility for the operational management of the school finances. Leading a team of support staff, you will ensure the day-to-day effective management of human resources, catering, health & safety, school site and premises.
Your role will include management of finances, including preparing and monitoring budgets, operating and maintaining the financial procedures systems, working closely with the leadership team and governors. You will be responsible for seeking funding and gaining grants in order for the school to achieve its aspirations within the School Development Plan.
Key to this role will be your previous experience of providing high level administrative support, budgetary management, leading and motivating a team. You will require substantial knowledge of management practice and legislation relating to finance, payroll and a comprehensive understanding of health & safety, safeguarding and safer recruitment.

Hours of work are 37 hours Monday – Friday (Mon - hours 8am - 4pm, Friday 8.30am - 4pm with 30 mins lunch). Flexible working hours (choosing start and finish times), compressed hours (working full-time hours over fewer days) or part time hours would be considered.
