Job Title: Electrical AssessorLocation: South YorkshireContract Type: Permanent Hourly Rate: Up to £41,000
About the Role:We are seeking an Electrical Assessor to support the delivery and assessment of electrical installation apprenticeships and vocational qualifications. This permanent role offers a full-time, permanent opportunity and involves working closely with learners and employers to ensure high standards of training and competence are achieved.Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out workplace assessments for electrical installation learners, ensuring alignment with awarding body and industry standards
* Provide guidance, feedback, and support to apprentices throughout their training journey
* Maintain accurate records of learner progress and assessment decisions
* Conduct regular reviews and liaise with employers to monitor learner development
* Support quality assurance processes and participate in standardisation activities
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and safeguarding requirements
Requirements:
* A recognised qualification in Electrical Installation (e.g., NVQ Level 3, AM2)
* Industry experience as a qualified electrician
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to support and motivate a diverse range of learners
Desirable:
* Experience assessing within an FE or apprenticeship training environment
* Assessor qualification (e.g., TAQA, A1, D32/D33)
* Up-to-date knowledge of the IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition)
* Experience with e-portfolio systems and digital assessment tools
* Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and End Point Assessment (EPA) requirements
