Role Objective
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be instrumental in servicing and maintaining a diverse range of personal safety equipment and fixed gas detection systems. Your expertise will ensure compliance, reliability, and user confidence across client sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Service and maintenance of portable gas detectors, SCBA, Escape Breathing apparatus, and fall arrest and lifting equipment.
* Set up and commissioning of new gas detection systems.
* Building trust-based relationships with clients and identifying additional safety equipment needs.
* Ensuring customer satisfaction to drive repeat business.
* Completing all relevant paperwork and updating the CRM database.
* Providing vital data for management reporting and supporting the workshop as needed.
Experience
* Minimum of 2 years proven engineering experience as a Field Service Engineer or a Static Engineer/Technician, ideally within the safety equipment industry.
* Background in utilities, engineering, or construction sectors preferred.
* Knowledge of fixed gas detection systems is desirable but not essential.
* Demonstrated experience in fault-finding and effective decision-making.
