NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. The shift pattern for this post is: Monday - Sunday, 5/7 days, between 8am – 8pm.
This is an exciting opportunity for 2 part time posts for appropriately qualified and enthusiastic applicants to join the Single Point of Access Service for District Nursing to carry out call support.
The post holder will support the District Nursing Services within a very busy environment. The post is based within Plean Street Clinic in the North West of the city but covers the entirety of Greater Glasgow. This post is the first point of contact for callers and referrers to pass on information which then provides an effective service with excellent communication. The service answers call from a wide and varied network of callers from patients, family, carers, GP Services, NHS staff, social work, Acute, Rehab to name but a few.
Applicants will demonstrate good communication, organisational skills, be empathetic and have the ability to work without direct supervision, once fully trained. You should have excellent call handling experience or equivalent.
Knowledge of Microsoft Packages is essential and experience of working with Office 365 email, Clinical Nursing Information System, & SCI Gateway systems are desirable, but full training will be given.
