Are you ready to take your executive support skills to the next level? As Executive Assistant to the UKTL leadership team, you'll be at the heart of strategic coordination and operational excellence. What You'll Be Doing
You'll be the go-to person for the COO and CTO, ensuring their time is optimised and their priorities are aligned. You'll also take ownership of departmental systems and administration, making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
In this hybrid role, you'll:
* Own the calendar: Manage diaries and prioritise engagements, ensuring meetings and events reflect a holistic view of leadership commitments.
* Lead coordination: Organise meetings, briefings, and events with internal and external stakeholders.
* Create impact: Prepare presentations and business documentation that drive decisions.
* Streamline operations: Oversee administrative systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Collaborate cross-functionally: Liaise with Talent Acquisition, Training, and other support teams.
* Drive improvements: Lead or support initiatives that enhance how we work.
* Support strategic alignment: Work closely with the MD's office to ensure meetings and events are strategically coordinated.
* Capture the details: Attend meetings and produce clear, actionable notes.
* Travel coordination: Planning and booking UK and International travel arrangements and associated logistics.
Successful Applicants must be able to commute to the UKTL offices in Birmingham with the possibility of hybrid working.

Led by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, the UK Telecoms Lab (UKTL), announced in October 2022, will give the UK the cutting-edge technology to keep our telecommunications networks safe, accelerate the roll-out of 5G,and grow our brilliant telecoms sector by bringing in new entrants to diversify the supply chain market.

Acting as the first point of contact, you're on hand to ensure the administration of the department is delivered smoothly and to the highest standard. You'll coordinate the team's duties to play to their strengths, whilst ensuring they deliver a high-level of customer service at all times. Taking a particular interest in the management's needs, you'll help prepare and circulate documents. Finally, you'll take responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of the systems and databases – ensuring they are compliant and accurate.
