Teaching Assistant Required – Primary School in Wokingham Location: Wokingham, Berkshire Start Date: After Easter Holidays 2026 Working Pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week (term-time only) Salary: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience) About the Role Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a friendly and well-regarded primary school in Wokingham to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will support pupils across the classroom, working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and provide additional support where needed. This role may involve working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis, depending on the needs of the school. Key Responsibilities Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons. Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to support learning. Help to create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment. Assist with classroom management and encourage positive behaviour. Support pupils in developing confidence, independence, and key skills. Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. Key Requirements A genuine passion for education and supporting children to succeed. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff. Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting learning and behaviour. Previous experience working with children or within an educational setting is highly desirable. A willingness to learn and develop new skills, with training provided where needed.
