Brain injuries are a hidden disability that can affect personalities, relationships and the ability to lead an independent life. When a person's life is turned upside down by a brain injury, we ensure they get the help and support they need and deserve.
We are now looking for a Clinical Lead to join us on a part-time basis, working 30 hours per week on a one-year fixed-term contract, with potential for renewal, subject to funding. This role has been made possible thanks to the generous support of the players of the Postcode Lottery and Thompsons Solicitors.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a qualified Occupational Therapist with experience of brain injury rehabilitation to join our dedicated charity. The Role
As a Clinical Lead, you will oversee the delivery and development of services for people with brain injuries and their families across Devon. Specifically, you will guide and support client-facing staff to deliver the highest standards of care, ensuring positive outcomes for those we support. Working with NHS colleagues, you will develop pathways from hospital to community services, ensuring smooth discharge and effective rehabilitation that supports clients and their families.
Additionally, you will:
* Liaise with external agencies such as social services, vocational services and community teams
* Oversee client services including day centres, enabling, telephone and peer support
* Help launch new services including peer support, carers groups, short-term and digital services
* Deliver brain injury training for staff, professionals, families and clients
About You
To be considered as a Clinical Lead, you will need:
* Experience of working with individuals with complex physical, cognitive, emotional and behavioural needs due to an acquired brain injury
* Demonstrable experience in a leadership position
* NHS experience and an understanding of hospital-level interventions
* Evidence of experience at a senior level, with the ability to prioritise caseloads and delegate effectively
* Experience working across acute and community specialities
* Excellent clinical reasoning skills, knowledge of evidence-based interventions and experience of group and community rehabilitation
* Strong verbal communication and IT skills
* A creative, innovative and collaborative approach
* A degree in Occupational Health
* HCPC Registration
* The ability to travel efficiently and work flexibly
* A full driving licence and access to a vehicle and/or the ability to use public transport
