Key Responsibilities
:
* Lead and manage a diverse caseload of complex commercial property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, lease agreements, and development work.
* Advise clients on a range of commercial property issues, including planning, environmental, and construction law.
* Build and nurture long-term relationships with existing clients, acting as their trusted legal advisor.
* Lead negotiations on behalf of clients, ensuring transactions are completed efficiently and successfully.
* Mentor and support junior lawyers and other team members, contributing to their professional development.
* Play a key role in business development activities, including pitching for new clients and representing the firm at networking events.
* Stay up to date with the latest commercial property legal developments, ensuring the firm’s practice remains at the forefront of industry trends.
* Contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the department, working closely with partners and senior management.

Skills & Experience Required:
* Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with significant experience in commercial property law, ideally with exposure to both contentious and non-contentious matters.
* Proven track record of handling high-value and complex commercial property transactions, demonstrating commercial awareness and a client-focused approach.
* Previous experience of supervising and mentoring junior team members is highly desirable.
* Strong technical knowledge and the ability to provide practical solutions to complex issues.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
* A proactive, business development mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and drive the department forward.
* Experience working in a Legal 500 or equivalent environment is an advantage.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Hybrid working experience or openness to a flexible working model.
