Role Overview
This role requires a team player with flair and commercial ability, and the skill, energy and determination to help drive and develop the business alongside the General Manager. We are looking for a manager with experience in maintaining and developing standards and reputation, whilst nurturing a growing membership base and team.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the operational running of the gym at all times.
* Opening and closing the site when required due to operational hours.
* Expect to work early morning, late weekdays and weekends.
* Ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures in the Employee Policy and Company Handbook are adhered to.
* Maintain the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
* Conduct daily, weekly and monthly safety checks, report and chase all defects to ensure the building and equipment are safe.
* Aim to achieve all sales and membership targets.
* Drive and maximise secondary spend revenue.
* Ensure the gym facility is of the highest standard of cleanliness.
* Maintain cleaning outside of contract hours and ensure in‑house cleaners meet the required standard.
* Enforce uniform standards for all team members and yourself.
* Always deliver outstanding member service.
* Create an environment where the team and contracted personnel enjoy themselves whilst at work.
* Undertake any other reasonable duties, projects or meetings that may be required.
* Be an ambassador of JD Gyms.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in a management position within the leisure or fitness industry.
* Experience driving sales and coordinating local marketing activity.
* Experience as an Assistant Manager, Fitness Manager or similar operational function.
* Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification or higher.
* Inspirational leadership and passion for customer service.
