Job Coach – Supported Internships - Reading
Are you enthusiastic about helping young people with learning difficulties or social/emotional needs achieve their potential? Join us as a Job Coach and play a vital role in supporting individuals on Supported Internships to succeed in workplace placements and transition into paid employment.
What you’ll do:
1. Provide tailored job coaching and mentoring to interns in their placements
2. Identify suitable job opportunities and assistive technology needs
3. Build strong relationships with families and carers to ensure success
4. Train and support employers on disability awareness and inclusion
5. Help interns develop essential workplace skills, from communication to interview techniques
6. Collaborate with placement managers, SEND advisers, and local authorities
7. Organise events such as inductions, open days, and graduation celebrations
8. Stay informed on labour market trends and employment initiatives
About you:
9. Experience supporting individuals with learning difficulties or additional needs
10. Strong communication and relationship-building skills
11. Knowledge of workplace inclusion and disability awareness
12. Organised, proactive, and passionate about making a difference
